INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The National Safety Council announced the recipients of the Training Impact Awards, honoring instructors who go above and beyond to equip others with the knowledge and skills that help keep themselves and others safer, from the workplace to anyplace.

NSC Executive Vice President of Training Pete Schwartz honors the winners of the NSC Training Impact Awards at the NSC Safety Congress & Expo Sept. 15.

The following awards were announced at the 2026 NSC Safety Congress & Expo:

Defensive Driving Awards

“Safety training has been central to the Council’s mission since our earliest days, and instructors have long played the critical role of bringing lifesaving knowledge to the public,” said Pete Schwartz, executive vice president of training at NSC. “We are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions these instructors have made to instill best practices and improve the safety of our workplaces, roadways and communities.”
