NORTHGLENN, CO -- The Call for Presentations for the 2027 Colorado Risk Reduction Network (CRRN) Conference of the Rockies presented by NFPA, is now open. Proposals are being accepted until October 31, 2026.

The 2027 conference, from April 27-29 in Northglenn, CO, will focus on advancing Community Risk Reduction and life safety strategies while providing practitioners with the practical tools, resources, and proven strategies to support their work in building safer, more resilient communities.

The Conference
The event brings together professionals from public health, emergency management, healthcare, education, government, nonprofit organizations, industry, and other allied fields who play a role in helping prevent fires, injuries, and other life-safety risks. Through its collaboration with NFPA, the Conference of the Rockies is expanding its reach, connecting attendees with nationally recognized practitioners and creating greater opportunities to share knowledge, practices, and innovations, advancing community risk reduction across North America.

Call for Proposals
The committee is particularly interested in practical, engaging, and forward-looking presentations that provide attendees with strategies, tools, and resources they can take home and put to work. Potential topics include fire and life safety education; data and community risk assessment; community outreach and engagement; codes and standards; emerging technology and risks; wildfire and WUI risk reduction, and more. The committee also welcomes ideas that may not fit neatly into a traditional category. If you have a successful program, innovative approach, new research, hard-earned lessons, or an idea that can help others reduce risk in their communities, consider submitting a session proposal.
