HURST, TX -- The revised B101.2-2025 Test Method for Determining the Impact on Wet Coefficients of Friction of Various Chemical or Physical Walkway Surface Cleaners and Treatments on Common Hard-Surface Flooring Materials is now available for purchase.
The purpose of this standard provides a methodology for determining the effects of chemical cleaning agents and chemical treatments on the wet dynamic coefficient of friction and/or the wet static coefficient of friction of a walkway material reference surface.
Since our founding in 1997 the NFSI has been a champion for slip, trip, and fall prevention and continues to advance its mission through the creation of nationally recognized consensus standards and encourages manufacturers of commercial and residential chemical floor cleaning agents and treatments to utilize the B101.2 standard as part of their existing laboratory testing and to have their products tested by NFSI. The B101.8 subcommittee, chaired by Brent Johnson with Traction Auditing worked diligently to produce this standard. |
