  • ISEA Debuts QSSP Essentials for Quick, Effective Safety Training

    Contributed by FSM Staff

ARLINGTON, VA -- The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) has launched QSSP Essentials, an educational offering for safety sales professionals who are committed to advancing their understanding of safety protocols, regulations, safety equipment standards, and best practices.

A compliment to ISEA’s Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP) Core training, QSSP Essentials is a comprehensive on-demand suite of mini-courses. Each course is a deep dive on a particular topic, offering essential insights and skills needed to excel in the field of safety equipment and PPE sales.

QSSP Essentials is ideal for manufacturing reps, distributors, or any other personal protective equipment or safety sales professional. A QSSP designation is not a requirement, and there are no prerequisites for taking QSSP Essentials mini-courses.

QSSP Essentials continuing education courses enable attendees to explore new and evolving areas of expertise to elevate their safety sales proficiency, master the ongoing complexities of occupational safety hazards and solutions, demonstrate their commitment to knowledge and expertise in safety, and propel their safety sales career.

Each mini-course is less than 55 minutes, available 24/7, and can be downloaded for future reference. Upon completing a QSSP Essentials course and passing the assessment, the registrants are eligible for CEUs and receive an industry-recognized course certificate, along with digital achievement badging that can be incorporated into a LinkedIn profile or other professional resume.

QSSP Essentials offers mini-courses on a variety of topics, including:

    Hand Protection

Occupational Health & Safety Problem Solving

    OSHA Regulations & PEE

    Workplace Stress & Fatigue

    Roof Fall Protection

    Dropped Objects Prevention

    Ladder Safety

    Safety Technology Trends

Occupational Safety Regulations in Canada & Mexico

    Heat Stress Illness & Prevention

    Respiratory Protection Selection

Sales pros can select a single QSSP Essentials mini-course ($79 for ISEA members, $99 for nonmembers) or purchase bundles of three or more ($66 members, $84 nonmembers) on multiple topics.

QSSP Essentials can serve as a good first step in preparing for the QSSP Core course, which is an online or in-person course ideally suited for participants with one to seven years of safety industry experience. Upon successful completion of the QSSP Core course, safety sales professionals carry the QSSP designation for life.
