WASHINGTON, DC -- AIHA, the association for occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals, welcomed its new Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term in May 2024, during AIHA’s annual business meeting held during the AIHA Connect 2024 conference in Columbus, Ohio.
On Friday, July 26, 2024, the AIHA Board will commence its first Strategic Planning meeting. Topics include reviewing the treasurer's report, examining the status of the 2022-2024 strategic plan, approving the 2025-2027 draft strategic plan, discussing AIHA's new initiatives aimed at advancing OEHS science and practice, and plans for the remainder of the 2024 calendar year.

Sloan expressed his appreciation for the invaluable contributions made to AIHA by the departing Board members: Donna S. Heidel, MS, CIH, FAIHA, the former past president, and Courtney Tinner, CIH, CSP, a former director. “We are grateful for the time and energy they invested during their tenures,” said Sloan. “We are confident their input will have lasting impacts on our organization.”

Nancy McClellan, MPH, CIH, CHMM, was elected Vice President. McClellan has previously served on the board as both director-at-large and treasurer. She has authored several AIHA publications, including Synergist articles, since 2011, and contributed heavily to AIHA’s pandemic response efforts. McClellan is CEO of Occupational Health Management, PLLC, in Waterford, Michigan and chairs the University of Michigan Graduate School of Public Health Advisory Board. |

Justine Parker, CIH, CSP, CPH, CHMM, was elected Secretary-Elect. Parker has been a member of AIHA since 2013 and previously served on the Board of Directors as director-atlarge. In 2021, she received both the AIHA President’s Award and the Social Responsibility Award for her work on the Back to Work Safely COVID-19 Task Force. Parker has also served on the Content Priority Advisory Group (CPAG) since 2020. She currently works as a Principal Science Advisor at Stantec in Boulder, CO. |

Matthew R. Dahm, PhD, MPH, REHS/RS, was elected director-at-large. Since serving as president for the AIHA Ohio Valley Local Section in the 2013-2014 term, Dahm has held leadership positions in several AIHA groups, including chair of the AIHA Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Working Group. Dahm is a Supervisory Environmental Health Specialist for the CDC/NIOSH in Cincinnati, OH. |

Bradley Rodgers, MS, MBA, CIH, CSP, was elected director-at-large. Rodgers has been a member of AIHA since 2008. He has written for The Synergist and held several positions in the AIHA Arkansas Local Section, including president. Rodgers has also served on the Leadership and Management Committee, Finance Committee, and Local Sections Advisory Group. He currently works as an Industrial Hygienist for FutureFuel Chemical Company and serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the OEHS program at Arkansas State University. |
