Shermco Industries
Renews ISO 9001:2000 Certification
DALLAS – Shermco Industries, a
provider of rotating machinery testing, repairing and
remanufacturing as well as power systems maintenance and electrical
damage restoration services, has gained ISO 9001:2000 certification
for a second year.
After a quality surveillance audit, Shermco
Industries was found to be in compliance with ISO standards and
received renewal of the coveted certification for 2009.
Some
of the requirements in ISO 9001 include: establishing a set of
procedures that cover all key processes in the business; monitoring
processes to ensure they are effective; keeping adequate records;
checking output for defects with appropriate and corrective action
where necessary; regularly reviewing individual processes and the
quality system itself for effectiveness; and facilitating continual
improvement.
“Maintaining ISO certification
requires a serious commitment of time and resources but is well
worth it when you consider the end value for your clients,” said
Scott Meador, vice president for the Machine Services Division of
Shermco. “The designation guarantees our excellence in service and
reassures our customers all over the world that we will continue to
provide products and support of the highest quality.”
